Job Description:
The Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited (PPCBL), a leading bank in the Cooperative Sector having wide network of branches, with Head Office at Lahore, requires services of a Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer who can lead the institution and bring about financial, structural and operational reforms to make PPCBL a premier financial institution in its line of business.

Eligibility Criteria:
The incumbent applying for the captioned assignment must meet the following criteria:

Qualification:
The incumbent shall be required to meet the Fit and Proper Testing (FPT) criteria as prescribed by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Experience:
20 years in banking out of which at least 5 years at policy and decision-making level in a financial institution. The incumbent must have in-depth understanding and experience of:

Leading a financial institution.
Managing affairs of the Board of Directors.
Developing policy framework for good governance.
Bringing about structural, financial and operational reforms.
Handing internal/external Corporate and Audit affairs. Risk Management, Deposit Mobilization, Credit, especially in the areas of Agriculture and/or SME and Micro-Credit.

Age Limit:
Minimum= 45 years, Maximum = 65 years.

Pay Package:

Organize training feedback and recommend changes in training programs, training methodology curriculum, training material etc. for improvement
Organize TNA and compile training action plan
Maintain updated data of trained employees for placing before the management as and when required for decision-making
Coordinate with SBP, IBP other training organizations and external resource persons regarding training matters
Coordinate with Head of Training regarding training activities/programmes of Staff Colleges

THE ROLE:

THE CANDIDATE:
Considerable retail banking experience, with a number of years at a senior management level and a proven track record of achievements
UK retail banking experience is desirable
A formal accounting or other 3rd level qualifications
Sound knowledge of and experience in corporate governance and regulatory compliance within the financial services industry
Strong operational focus across front, middle, back office and call centres
Excellent people management skills
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate staff from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, and gain the respect of colleagues at all levels
Team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Candidates must have a legal entitlement to work in the UK
