Commercial Officer – The Corporate Banking Group

Job Description:
The Corporate Banking Group (CBG) was formed with offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, to focus exclusively on the needs of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi’s most valuable corporate and institutional clientele and to develop closer ties with the business community in the UAE. NBAD has always been the bank of choice of the Government of Abu Dhabi and public sector institutions.

The Corporate Banking Group (CBG) is looking for a Commercial Officer.

Location:
Saudi Arabia

To supplement services to the non-borrowing and borrowing commercial / corporate relationships at the Branch by handling / addressing day-to-day commercial related transactions. Enhance these relationships by providing prompt, quality service and consistently maintaining the Bank’s image. Address complaints that may arise with regard to the services required by the Corporate Customers and representatives at the Branches to the concerned Team Leader in order to attain customer satisfaction.

Ensures client satisfaction by providing prompt responses to commercial client queries and addressing their needs to enhance quality of client service
Communicates clearly and in coordination with the Corporate Banking Group Team Leaders and Relationship Managers to address referrals related to borrowing relationships
Interacts with CBG’s representatives at the Branches and escalates feedback to the concerned Team Leader at the Head Office
Opens commercial / corporate accounts and ensures that related documents required are in order
Interacts with Relationship Managers and others specified by the Team Leader for service delivery and MIS requirements
Addresses, follows up and / or completes each transaction of CBG customers received at the Branch on a timely basis by interacting with Relationship Managers or Branch Managers at CBG
Addresses referrals related to non-borrowing with the Small and Medium Establishments (SME) Unit
Follows up daily on missing, pending and outstanding issues
Routes CBG transactions such as issuance of cheque books, transfers, etc. to concerned departments

Specialist Skills Required for the Job:
Capabilities to handle / address transaction or queries related to corporals customers and strong follow – up abilities to ensure timely and accurate disposal of transactions
Communication skills
Selling skills
Should have adequate banking experience in meeting the requirements for this job
Customer interface
Working knowledge of credit and operations

Experience:
2 – 4 yrs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or management. Preferably with a Master’s degree.

At least 5 years related work experience at progressive middle or senior levels in management in public or private sector entities specializing in areas related to financial sector
Experience in formulation of policies and programs related to financial sector reforms, SME development, economic diversification, competitiveness etc.
Good appreciation of Pakistan’s financial system and reform efforts in the above areas
Reasonable understanding of Pakistan Government’s and ADB procedures relating to planning and development, financial management, disbursement, procurement, recruitment of consultants, accounting and auditing
Demonstrated familiarity with universally acknowledged good management practices in the area of budgeting, contract administration and monitoring and evaluation
Familiarity with local languages and institutions
Demonstrated ability to network
Effective report writing and English communication skills
Strong conceptual skills and ability to identify issues and appropriate actions at the field office level
Strong planning and organizational skills: the ability to handle a multitude of tasks under given timeframes
Proficiency in computers, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and the internet
