We currently have a vacancy of “Head of Bancassurance“. This is an important position due to its green-field nature. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 yeas experience of bancassurance business. You will have an innate understanding of life assurance and bancassurance concepts and principles gained through your own practical experience; this includes, but is not limited to an appreciation of the sales & marketing, back-office administration, IT and manpower development aspects of the industry.

Applicants having prior experience of setting up Bancassurance business would be given

preference. You will bring with you a significant understanding of bank distribution channels and an awareness of underwriting and claims processing aspects of bancassurance business.

The bancassurance cell that you would be heading would be required to fulfill the following functions:

Review of automatically issued policies Underwriting and issue of medically underwritten cases

Claims processing

Incorporation of accounting results in SLIC’s books of accounts

Facilitate the partner banks and the TPA service provider in achievement of their business goals

Ensuring availability of information required for rendering the TPA services, including:

Completion of the product questionnaires, providing relevant parameters, insurance product details

Ensuring availability of information required for rendering the TPA services, including:

Checking / scrutiny of documents / reports for accuracy; Reconciliation of various reports for consistency; Receiving and logging fault reports (if any) and reporting these to the TPA service provider

Devise bancassurance literature

Design/launch product suites catering to various customer segments

Internationally recognized professional insurance qualifications and knowledge of accounting will be an additional advantage.

Remuneration is negotiable dependent on qualifications, experience and track record.
